Johnny Greville has stepped down as Westmeath camogie manager after a remarkable five-year reign.

The Raharney man brought the Lake County from the junior to senior ranks by winning the All-Ireland junior 'A' and intermediate championships in 2017 and '19 respectively. They beat Limerick in their first-ever All-Ireland senior championship game last month before losing to Kilkenny and Waterford.

Greville announced his decision after today's defeat to Waterford at TEG Cusack Park. A post on Westmeath camogie's Facebook page read: "Sad day for Westmeath camogie as John steps down after an amazing five years. Thank you for all the amazing memories. Best of luck with the next chapter of your career."
